REVEALED: How Museveni’s NRM trained Moi’s opponents

By Collins Wanzala in Nairobi Members of an organization called Mwakenya  which was proscribed by the former President Daniel Arap Moi in the 1980s received massive military training from the then rebel Ugandan National Resistance Movement (NRM). Speaking in Nairobi today during a forum organized by the country`s Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission, a founder member of the Release Political Prisoners (RPP) and People Against Torture (PAT) movements, Mr Kangethe Mungai said that they travelled to Uganda during the 1980s where they got training on different forms of sabotage from the NRM led by now Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni but were allegedly not trained in the use of firearms. UN Secretary General’s visit leaves Zambians with sour taste

By Michael Malakata, Lusaka, Zambia Tempers and anger are flaring in Zambia after the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon openly made known he was in Zambia to promote homosexuality. The purpose of the UN chief’s historic visit to Zambia last week was made secret until he openly said he was visiting the country to advocate homosexuality. Ban Ki-Moon is the first UN Secretary General to visit Zambia since independence from Britain in 1964. The Zambian government has so far not given its reaction to Ban Ki-Moon’s statement but tempers are very high with people, the church and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)  demanding an apology from the UN chief. Not all is going according to plan with Kenya’s Somali incursion

By Twaha Mukiibi The leader of Ahal Suna Wal Jama (ASWJ), Khalifa Abdul Kadir Moallin Noor has claimed that his organisation is the main stream political group in Somalia and will be ready to take over the leadership of Somalia after the end of the transitional government of Sheikh Sharif Ahmed. According to Khalifa Abdul Kadir, ASWJ has been fighting for the leadership of Somalia since 2008. Its main aim is to fight against Wahabism and the terrorists of the Al Shabaab.
