A call has been made to the United Nations Security Council to investigate the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Ms Fatou Bensouda and her predecessor Louis Moreno-Ocampo over allegations that they deliberated committed perjury.

In a statement released by Chairman of Africa World Media Dr David Matsanga, the conflict resolution specialist also called for all cases against Kenyan politicians now at the ICC to be dropped and fresh investigations carried out. He said: “The current events at ICC are a clear indication that the Kenyan cases were not properly investigated.” Because of its potentially legal implications, we have decided to reproduce verbatim, Dr Matsanga’s statement. This is how it goes:

The Trial Chamber 5 of the ICC  and the ICC Presidency  have now taken a right  decision to recall all evidence surrounding Mr. James Maina Kabutu commonly  known as ‘OTP4’ in the  Kenyan case against President Uhuru Kenyatta. This is the same witness who had recanted his evidence in October 2010 and had written to the Chief Prosecutor in the same year 2010. But the drama galore that we see in ICC today is disheartening to Africans who hoped that such a court would be above petty sickness of manipulation from the likes of immoral Prof. Makau Mutua and others who faked this evidence.
