By Henry D Gombya Reports reaching us from highly-placed sources in the Kenyan capital Nairobi say some Non-Government Organisations in the country are colluding with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague to make sure Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are found guilty of crimes against humanity and sent to prison. The case against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto that they conspired with others to plan the 2007 post-election violence in which over 1100 people lost their lives and several others were injured or displaced, is fast disintegrating after the judges set to hear the accusations rebuked International Criminal Court prosecutors for failing to disclose evidence that could be used in his defence. By Henry D Gombya, Managing Editor The former Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC) Louis Moreno-Ocampo and the person who succeeded him, Fatou Bensouda, ‘bungled and corrupted’ the cases against Kenya’s President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate, Vice President-elect William Ruto. They also exhibited ‘inept legal behaviour’ and had ‘shoddy dealings with NGOs in Kenya’ that faked evidence against the newly elected Kenyan leaders.
