Michael Schumacher may never wake up from induced coma

F1 superstar Michael Schumacher who doctors are still trying to wake up from an induced coma they put him under last December.

Doctors are still trying to wake up Formula One legend Michael Schumacher from his coma, three months after he suffered a devastating brain injury in a skiing accident in the French resort of Meribel. The process of trying to bring him out of his medically-induced coma is now in its eighth week, and the duration of the process is leading to fears that Schumacher will never recover. However, Schumacher’s wife Corrina hopes that by spending a fraction of the family’s £500m fortune, it will at least allow him to continue his treatment at their £25m estate on Lake Geneva. Lord Windermere wins Cheltenham God Cup

Winning jockey Dave Russell acknowledges spectators after winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup Saturday.

Winning jockey Davy Russell insists Lord Windermere deserved to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup despite a controversial stewards’ inquiry. Stewards admitted the runner-up was impeded, but after a 15-minute hearing they ruled it was “minor interference” that did not affect the result. On His Own was beaten a short head, with The Giant Bolster third. On His Own’s trainer Willie Mullins had initially indicated an appeal might be considered, although the horse’s owners have now decided against doing so.
