Oblivious of what else is happening around it, this chimpanzee feeds on a banana as tourists defy Ebola threats to visit Uganda.

By Nkonge I Kaggwa on Ngamba Island In spite of the effect the Ebola pandemic has had on the tourism sector in Africa, Uganda continues to have scores of tourists flocking into the country to enjoy this year’s festive season aligning with government’s position that there is no Ebola in Uganda. There have been reports from Western media saying the African tourism sector has greatly been affected since the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Ebola hit the West African countries of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, killing over 4,500 people in the first quarter of the year.
