The Chief Executive Officer, Africa World Media Ltd, Dr David Nyekorach Matsanga has opened fire and war on Professor Makau Mutua over his February 1st statements in the Sunday Standard Newspaper, one of Kenya’s leading dailies.
Makau Mutua, a Kenyan-American professor of law who is also the Dean of law at the State University of New York’s Buffalo Law School in the United States, trashed Matsanga’s previous chronicles and opinion on the dismissed Post-Election Violence ( PEV) Case against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta from the International Criminal Court (ICC). In his commentary titled: “Five myths about Bensouda’s ICC pre-trial brief that must be debunked,” listed five points in retaliation to Matsanga’s publications on the case and accusations against the ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda.
Mutua’s commentary greatly vexed Matsanga who had only just returned from an African Union Summit in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. It is obvious that Matsanga was not amused as was featured in the verbal artillery pointed at the professor in his 18-point epistle aimed at deconstructing Mutua’ s myths about ICC. Matsanga said that Mutua dented and assassinated his person, character and name by branding him ‘a payee of Uganda’s Lord Resistance Army (LRA), carrying water for LRA leader Joseph Kony and Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe.
He further set the record straight on Mutua’s myth three which claimed that Matsanga was once on the payroll of the LRA. Matsanga denied allegations that he was on Kony’s payroll but admitted he had been on the United Nations, European Union, AU and IGAD, the organisations he said had sponsored the Juba Peace talks between the Uganda Government and the LRA. He revealed that he was only asked by EU and UN on recommendations of the LRA to negotiate for peace on their behalf.
In anguish, Dr Matsanga questioned Mutua’s sexuality and called him a “gay rant” adding that for him (Matsanga) it is only men like the professor who have no sex preferences to an extent that they are “sexed” by other men like Luis Ocampo the former ICC prosecutor for a few dollars per week to coach witnesses hence the flawed evidence in the PEV case against President Uhuru.
Because of the legal obstacles apparent in Matsanga’s retaliation against Prof Mutua, The London Evening Post has decided to post the retaliation verbatim as it is now in public domain. Posting his verbal attack on Mutua does not mean we share his ideas nor what he thinks of the Kenyan professor. We leave it to the intelligence of you, our readers, to judge both men as you wish. Here it is:
