At least 19 people are feared dead and more than 50 seriously injured when a suspected terrorist nail bomb went off early today during a concert at the Manchester Arena.

Reports reaching our news desk say British security forces are now treating this incident as a terrorist attack and have warned people not to get anywhere near the Manchester Arena where youngsters were attending an Ariana Grande Concert in the Arena. Ariana Grande is an American singer and actress who is admired by many children who know her from her days when she was performing on the children’s channel ‘Nickelodeon’.

Many who were attending the show were indeed youngsters who had earlier been dropped off at the Arena by their parents. Taxi drivers in the area were seen giving free rides to kids who were escaping the carnage inside the arena and hotels in the area have also been reported to be giving free accommodation to children who have been separated from their parents. There is chaos and confusion as desperate parents try to reach the arena to find out about the kids they had dropped off earlier.

Just before we went to press early this morning, reports started appearing on British TV satellite channels indicating the police were attending ‘an incident’ at the Manchester Arena and were warning people not to approach the area. TV live picture showed people running out of the arena amid confusion as to what was going on. If this is confirmed as a terrorist attack, it will be the first time since the attack exactly two months ago when a man mowed down pedestrians walking on Westminster Bridge before he attacked a policeman guarding the Houses of Parliament and mortally stabbing him. Manchester Victoria Train Station which is just and the Manchester Arena, has now been closed until further notice.

Shortly after 1:00am today, police confirmed at least 19 people had lost their lives and 50 feared seriously injured. The whole of Manchester Arena is now sealed off and heavily armed police are patrolling the area. No one can approach the Arena and that includes journalists. This is a breaking story and we will update it during the day as we get more information.
