Are you an aspiring young African entrepreneur under 22 years of age? Then focus your brain, get your pen ready and apply as quickly as possible to be considered for a whopping US$25,000 that will be awarded to Africa’s youngest, most exciting and business entrepreneur if he or she is judged the winner of this year’s Anzisha Prize.

Backed by The MasterCard Foundation and co-hosts African Leadership Academy (ALA), the Anzisha Prize is a growing social impact programme entirely focused on accelerating the entry of millions of young Africans into viable and exciting entrepreneurship opportunities within high growth economic sectors.

The impact and success of the programme to date has encouraged co-hosts ALA and The MasterCard Foundation to extend their collaboration for a further five years. The Anzisha Prize will be a feature of the entrepreneur landscape in Africa until 2020, and aggressively expand its activities to not only encourage young entrepreneurs, but strengthen and celebrate the ecosystem of organisations that develop young African entrepreneurial talent in this age group.
